(NASDAQ: TGEN) today announced the sale of a CM-75 combined heat and power (CHP) module for installation at a hospital in Long Island, New York. The unit is being sold to a local Energy Services Company (ESCO) who will replace an existing outdated cogeneration system with Tecogen's current technology.  The CHP system will provide electrical power for the hospital while supplying the hot water needed for operations.  The resulting cost reduction quickly recovers the system cost while continuing to reduce the hospital's carbon footprint.
