(NASDAQ: TGEN) today announced the sale of a CM-75 combined heat and power (CHP) system to a Far Rockaway, NY 240 bed chronic care nursing facility. The Tecogen unit will provide electricity, space heat and domestic hot water at a far lower cost and carbon footprint than the conventional alternative of utility-purchased electricity and onsite boiler operation.

Tecogen's 75 kilowatt system is expected to reduce the facility's energy costs between $60K and $70K annually, net of service and other operating costs.
