Tecogen Sells Two Highly Efficient Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Systems to a Multi-Residential Building located in the Greater Boston area
WALTHAM, Mass., April 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Tecogen® Inc. (NASDAQ: TGEN) today announced the sale of two CM-60 combined heat and power (CHP) systems to a public multi-residential housing complex located in the Boston Metropolitan area.
The Tecogen CHP units will provide electricity for the site as well as deliver heat and domestic hot water to the residential complex of 268 apartments. The units will provide significant energy savings, and with Tecogen's patented Ultra low emissions system, nearly eliminate the production of criteria pollutants and compounds contributing to smog.
Tecogen is part of a comprehensive energy plan, funded with stimulus money from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, to improve the property's energy efficiency and reduce its carbon footprint.
