Four Tecopower Units to Power Long Island Wastewater Treatment Plant

WALTHAM, MA -- (Marketwired) -- 08/24/17 -- Tecogen® Inc. (NASDAQ: TGEN), a clean energy company providing ultra-efficient, clean, natural gas powered on-site power, heating and cooling equipment, is pleased to announce the sale of four Tecopower CM-75 combined heat and power units to a wastewater treatment plant on Long Island, NY. The machines, which will have a combined total electrical capacity of 300 KW, will utilize natural gas from the local gas distribution system as opposed to biogas produced on-site. As is the case with virtually all Tecogen products, the CM-75 comes installed with the company's patented near-zero Ultera emissions control technology.

Jeffrey Glick, Vice President of Sales for Tecogen, stated, "This is a new installation at the facility that is both part of an upgrade of its heating and cooling system and at the same time will reduce the plant's reliance on the region's long under strain electric grid.
