WALTHAM, Mass., Jan. 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Tecogen Inc., announced today the sale of a 75 kW combined heat and power (CHP) system for installation at Melville Towers, an apartment complex in New Bedford, Massachusetts.  The system will be providing domestic hot water, space heating and electricity to the residences.  This site energy efficiency upgrade has qualified for the Mass CHP incentive worth $56,250.  A third party technical assessment calculated that the CHP system will save the site $42,000 a year and reduce their CO₂ emissions by 45%.
