WALTHAM, Mass., Sept. 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Tecogen^® Inc. (NASDAQ: TGEN) today announced the sale of a 225 kW cogeneration system to a one hundred eighty one bed medical and surgical hospital in northern California.  The facility purchased three (3) Tecogen 75 kW combined heat and power (CHP) modules equipped with Tecogen's patented Ultra low emissions system. 

The units will produce electricity for the hospital's on-site use, as well as heat for the heating and domestic hot water systems.  The units feature Tecogen's Ultra low emissions technology, which meets the strictest California emissions regulations.

Earlier this year, Tecogen sold seven (7) similar modules to a sister facility in this Medical Group's Northern California area.
